Shake what your Momma gave ya! And a snake...
This Saturday was Gracie's first dance recital. We have been really worried that she was going to pay the part of the "Deer caught in the headlights". We had a couple opportunities to watch during dance class with the rest of the parents & she would just stand there....looking like a petrified woodland creature. But on Wednesday, she showed her stuff at dress rehearsal. She was awesome. She was even better at the recital. She made us all VERY proud. Jesse had a blast watching all of the kids dance. He was rockin' out & singing along to all the songs. The kid's got some rhythm!
Getting ready...
Big, Southern hair!
Ring around the rosie with the girls
Gotta love the cheesy hat!
Ashley, Grace, Elleri, & Maggie. They are in the same Kindergarten class. Well, they were. Now they're big 1st graders.
Picture pose!
Have you ever seen a prettier profile?!
Gracie at home on the stage.
On our way to the recital.
Libby, Mia, Kaliegh, Lilianna, Grace, Makenzie, & Nicaya.
Super excited!!!
Yesterday was date day for Joel & me. When we got home from super yummy Mexican food, there was a Black Racer (snake) in the yard, sunning itself. This is actually a GOOD snake. They eat the bad snakes & rodents. They are MORE than welcome in our yard. So we got some cool pictures of me standing next to it. I had seen it a few weeks ago & got kinda freaked out & threw one of Gracie's toy pots at the ground near it to get it to go the other way....ya know, away from the house. But it didn't even phase it. So yesterday, I was apologizing to it for throwing the pot at it. I told it that it was allowed to be in the yard, just to stay off the porch. Hey! Guess where it went!!!! THE STINKIN' PORCH!!!!!!!! So, my ever-so-very brave husband had to get it off the porch & away from Gracie's play kitchen. The pictures are great!
***CORRECTION!***
The snake is actually a Bask Rat Snake. We were a little curious about some of the markings on it since Black Racers are just black. I looked up Georgia snakes & found this guy!

So long, farewell....
Yesterday, our sweet little Kindergartner completed her first year of school. Her Daddy & I enjoyed a lovely "Beach Party" on the playground with the rest of the 5 & 6-year-olds and their parents. There was a big inflated waterslide, three plastic pools and tons of water guns. Much fun was had. The kids had a nice tropical feast of PB&Js, Chips & Fruit. I made the fruit platter. I was rather impressed with how it turned out! :o)
We just can't believe it's over. How is it that just yesterday, we were dropping off a very nervous yet excited little almost-5-year-old for her FIRST day of Kindergarten? In just a little over two months she will be a big First Grader. HOLD THE PHONE!!! How are these kids of ours getting so grown up, so fast?! Well, I guess that's just life...
These two women should be Sainted! They are mostly responsible for shaping the future of these kids' lives. They have given them an amazing start to their education. We can't believe how much Gracie has learned this year. It really is nothing short of a miracle!!!

On this day, one year ago....
...our sweet baby boy was born. Jesse Charles Pyron came into the world at 12:22 am weighing in at 9 pounds 4 ounces. He stood at a tall 22 1/2 inches, well if he could stand at that point. He has gotten even bigger! Today, Daddy & Mommy took him to his 12 month check up. He is 21 pounds 8 1/2 ounces and STANDS at 31 inches tall. He is talking, identifying "Dadada" and "Mamama". He signs "more" when he would like a refill of Cheerios. He loves when his sister does anything funny. He's a big fan of slapstick/physical comedy. He is going to love the Carol Burnett Show! He is also sleeping in his crib (almost all the time). His birthday party is tomorrow. I can't belileve it's already here.
Happy Birthday, Moosey!!! We love you!!!!!!!!!
